A Memory Master is a student who has mastered/memorized ALL of the material for Foundations/Essentials cycle. The MM Challenge was designed to encourage excellence in subject grammar memorization and recitation, which are skills that will serve students well along their educational journey. This is an optional program and recommended for those children participating in both the Journeyman and Masters age groups.
It is recommended that parents and students not enter into this process lightly or half-heartedly. It requires diligent study. The student, not the parent, should "own" their memory work and put the required effort in weekly. At the end of the year, the student will be proofed four times. Final testing is done by the director of the program. Students who achieve this astute honor will be recognized at the end of the year celebration.
